I am willing and searching for a break into professional web design.
Just over two years ago, I built my first web site and was fascinated with the result. It was ugly, hard to navigate and full of errors that I could not figure out. I sat at my computer and pounded information
for the next few years until I finally got it right. I took courses in college, lessons at Lydia.com, spent days in multiple forums and Googled my way into figuring out the basics of over 30 sites.
Now, I can make small sites quickly and my knowledge is growing by leaps and bounds every day still. I feel I have a very good grasp on the working knowledge of Joomla and the major codes used to make it function as it does. My tools are varied and expanding as I learn more and more new tricks and tips. I may be able to work within a normal development community, but I feel like I still crave more knowledge.
I am very happy making web sites for small business owners and the relationships I have created with them are wonderful and full of experiences for me. I want to continue on and focus my career on web site development and become a master with Joomla, and in order to do so I am looking to get some work in with fellow Joomla designers locally or preferably via telecommunications. My intention is simply to expand my knowledge and learn from those who have something to give.
I want to expand my knowledge of PHP, CSS and HTML, as well as learn about collaborating with others to complete a project. I want to find components that may be out there and very useful, that I just
will not find on my own. I crave the knowledge of other designers and tips they can provide. Software like Dreamweaver and Photoshop are still something I struggle with and I figure a pro can show me the ins and outs.
So here are the basics; I will work for dirt cheap and be an excellent member to your team that can keep up with the heard. I will even consider a certain amount of interning under the right environment. I will take interest in any size company or group and I am very flexible on pay. I also have interest in up and coming organizations that are looking to build themselves into some kind of collaboration.
If any of this strikes interest with you, and you want a solid performer on your team that will accelerate quickly, please contact me with more information. I would love to talk.
